Clay Monsters of the Sea: Family Clay Workshop with Kate McMinnies
Kate McMinnies
A two-hour family clay workshop: pinch, roll and stamp your own sea creature and a reef tile to take home.
Two hours of clay creativity for families — squishing, squashing and stamping clay to make an underwater scene and brilliantly bizarre clay sea monsters, led by ceramic artist Kate McMinnies. Inspired by the pitted chalk reef off Brighton, everyone pinches, rolls and shapes their own sea creature and creates a reef tile for a shared reef scene, then takes their creatures and reef tile home to air-dry. All materials, tools and guidance included. Suitable for ages 5 and up. Part of the Tide and Place programme at WRAP.
